I started dealing in amusement games since my college days. In those days, we used fax machines and it was very difficult to find suppliers. Most of the imports were happening from Japan and Taiwan. China wasn't yet on the scene. The import tax in India was 60% and most of the machines from Japan were used machines.
I used to always observe which of my customers did well and why. I also used to find out why a customer was not successful.
What I learnt from my observations was that people think amusement is a very easy business. But actually, on the contary, it is a very complex business. You need to understand what is your store layout, game machine mix, ambience decoration, etc. All of these factors play a very big part in the success of your venture.
It is also very important to find the right supplier and correct amusement equipment. Just going for the most expensive company does not necessarily mean that their machines are good (in revenue terms). Conversely, not all cheaper machines are bad.
So I started this portal to help customers find out who are the good suppliers and more importantly, which are the good machines.
